FMCSA Adds Website Update for Efficient ELD Support

It is now easier than ever to get your ELD questions answered.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) recently updated their website to make it easier for users to find ELD support information, as well as email requests for additional assistance as needed.

The FAQs have also been revised to include questions discussing Non-compliant drivers and the the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance’s Out of Service Criteria, Malfunctioning Automatic Onboard Recording Devices (AOBRD), and Malfunctioning AOBRD extension requests.

ELD Malfunctions Extension Requests

For users that need to file an ELD malfunction extension request per 49 CFR part 395.34 through email, you may send your extension request to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. You will need to list the motor carrier’s legal name, principal place of business address and USDOT number.
