Continued Delays for 2020 UCR Registration Period

While 2020 is already in full swing, no decisions have been made on the final rulemaking by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), pushing back the start of the 2020 Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) program for the time being.

Due to the delay of the 2020 registration period, the UCR Board of Directors are recommending a three-month grace period for enforcement of the statute, beginning on the same date as the opening of registration and collection of fees.

The Board of Directors is reported to be addressing the issue at their next meeting on January 28.
