Modified Trial-Period for Unified Carrier Registration

Beginning March 1, 2019, the Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) system will experience a trial-period where carrier registration uses only the carrier’s respective U.S. DOT number.

During this trial-period, carriers will only use their U.S. DOT number and a company verification when registering. Carriers will not input their Federal Employee Identification Number (FEIN) during this process. However, applicants will provide their U.S. DOT number twice during registration to ensure accurate submissions.

This trial period seeks to improve the administrative efficiency of the UCR system. Applicants can expect ongoing modifications and changes during this trial-period as the system enhances and improves the user’s experience.
