The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) recently reported technical issues with its online portal, impacting the ability to submit electronic applications and updates. While FMCSA support staff is working to resolve the problem, carriers should be aware that processing times may be delayed.
For carriers without FMCSA Portal accounts, many registrations still require paper applications. These must be submitted directly to FMCSA and are processed according to their internal timelines. Depending on the type of request, processing can take anywhere from 2–3 days to 2–3 weeks. Unfortunately, Operating Authority/Logistec has no control over these timelines once your application has been submitted.
