2008 Unified Carrier Registration

Effective September 10, 2007, the states and federal government implemented the new UCR program. ALL motor carriers will now be required to pay UCR fees. The UCR program replaced the Single State Registration System (SSRS). You may or may not receive a UCR notice from your state. The UCR board has proposed a November 15, 2007, enforcement deadline (the date in which 2007 UCR fees must be paid), but some states have already begun its enforcement. Thus, it's extremely important for motor carriers to pay their UCR fees as soon as possible.
