2018 UCR Registration Delayed Pending FMCSA Fees Approval

The start of the 2018 UCR registrations have been delayed until the FMCSA grants final approval on the pricing changes for the 2018 & 2019 years periods. Logistec/TTS is monitoring this closely and will keep you updated on the UCR registration changes. If you have chosen to have Logistec/TTS submit your 2018 UCR registration, we will notify you as soon as the registration is complete.

Though the new rule establishing fees is expected soon, the Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) Board of Directors has elected to push back until further notice the beginning of the 2018 registration period until the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) finalizes standards for fees.

As a result of the delay, the UCR is advising all states to postpone the start of the enforcement period for 2018 compliance for 90 days following the publication of the new fee standards.

The FMCSA is considering lower fees in response to recommendations proposed by the UCR in March 2017 to decrease fees by 9% for 2018. The UCR encourages carriers to refrain from submitting any carrier fees or forms for next year (digital or paper forms) until further notice. Any fees and forms received before the new fee ruling will be returned.
