FMCSA Updates SMS and Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Websites

on Thursday, 13 June 2019.

Safety Measurement System (SMS) Website
The Safety Measurement System website updated to provide May 31, 2019 results. Enforcement users and motor carriers can now access complete SMS results when logged into SMS. Enforcement users can access all carrier safety data and motor carriers can view their business’ data. Motor carriers without login access should register for their PIN by clicking here.

Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse Website
Soon, businesses will be able to report and identify individuals that are ineligible by law to drive commercial vehicles due to alcohol and drug violations. Starting January 6, 2020, employers complying with FMCSA’s Drug and Alcohol Program will be mandated to use the Commercial Driver’s License Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse for reporting and reviewing drivers.

The website was recently updated with information and resources developed to assist motor carriers and other users in adapting to their role in the Clearinghouse.

Updates include:

  • A User Roles card featuring user responsibilities in the Clearinghouse
  • An interactive timeline
  • New FAQ entries.

Visit the Clearinghouse for more info and register to receive email notifications as new information becomes available. For the latest industry news and info, check out Logistec/TTS.
