GA Intrastate Carriers Now Required to Pay UCR Fees
Effective July 15, 2010, the state of Georgia is enforcing a law passed in October 2009 that requires all Georgia intrastate motor carriers to pay Unified Carrier Registration (UCR) fees.
Although the Unified Carrier Registration Act (UCRA) exempts Intrastate only carriers from UCR fees, they give the power to each state to set their own requirements.
