Form 2290 Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax (HVUT) Status Update

The Internal Revenue Service has issued a status update for Form 2290 Heavy Highway Vehicle Use Tax (HVUT). Section 4481 of the IRS imposes a tax on the use of heavy highway vehicles. Under current law, this tax is set to expire after September 30, 2011, unless Congress extends the tax.
